A tapestry commission introduced by Detail to the Charles Causley Trust. The work, titled 'After Causley,' is by talented artist Olga Owczarek.

The work will be unveiled at the 2026 Launceston Poetry Festival, which opens on Friday 1 May. It will be sold to raise funds for the Trust's work in the community.

A launch at Kenwood House for Volume X of Richard Ormond's stunning John Singer Sargent catalogue raisonné, imprint Paul Mellon Centre, Yale University Press.

Charlotte, Detail co-founder, worked on texts accompanying over 690 portraits by one of the world's most-loved artists.

English Heritage's Kenwood exhibition Heiresses was also open for a viewing. Richard Ormond had acted as consultant. English Heritage Curator Wendy Monkhouse described the 'complex stories' in Sargent's paintings of brilliant young American women who married into the English aristocracy.

June 2025

We supported the Launceston Poetry Festival 29 May - 1 June 2025. A magical connection of poetry and community in the home of Cornwall's poet Charles Causley.

Four days of open mics, mentoring, workshops, talks, street shows and readings created a vibrant atmosphere. Frank Skinner and Ella Frears were joined by poets including Daljit Nagra, Isabelle Baafi, Stephen Emmerson, David Harsent, Pascale Petit, Katrina Naomi, Nina Mingya Powles, and Fiona Benson, and BBC Folk winner Jackie Oates. Novelist Patrick Gale played host.

"We're so proud the inaugural Launceston Poetry Festival was a tremendous success!' says Chair of the Causley Trust, David Devanny. 'Thanks to our sponsors, volunteers, and partnership with Guillemot Press, we welcomed dozens of poets and hundreds of keen poetry fans to the town.'

'What a welcome addition to the poetry calendar this Festival was. Featuring some of the best established poets and most promising new voices writing today, this was a showcase for what we have to offer in the UK and in Cornwall.' said Guillemot publisher Luke Thompson.
